Instructions for Poster Preparation and Presentation
1. POSTER SIZE

Orientation: Portrait Orientation

Dimensions: 36 inches (width) × 48 inches (height)

2. POSTER CONTENT REQUIREMENTS

Your poster should be self-explanatory and well-organized. It should include the following sections:

  • Title: Clearly state the topic of your research. Use large, bold fonts.
  • Author(s) and Affiliations: List full names, institutions, and email addresses of the presenting author.
  • Abstract: Abstract submitted in ATS.
  • Keywords: 3-5 Keywords.
  • Introduction: Provide a brief background and objective.
  • Methodology: Summarize the research methods in a concise manner.
  • Results: Use visuals—graphs, tables, images—for clarity.
  • Discussion: Highlight key takeaways and implications.
  • References: Keep minimal and relevant.
  • Acknowledgements: Mention funding sources or collaborators (optional).
3. DESIGN AND FORMATTING TIPS
  • Font Sizes (minimum recommendations):
    • Title: 70–100 pt
    • Section Headings: 36–40 pt
    • Body Text: 24–30 pt
  • Fonts: Use clean, readable fonts such as Arial, Calibri, or Times New Roman.
  • Color Scheme: Ensure strong contrast between text and background.
  • Visuals: Use high-resolution (300 dpi) images; allow white space for visual relief.

Printing will be made by the organizers.

5. SUBMISSION OF THE POSTER

Submit poster in pdf format only.

6. POSTER PRESENTATION AT THE ATS
  • Presentation Time: You are expected to stand by your poster during the whole session to interact with attendees.
  • Engagement: Prepare a 2–3-minute verbal overview of your research. Be ready to answer questions and engage in academic discussion.
7. QR CODE

Include a QR code on your poster linking to your paper, video, or supplementary material.

Poster Preparation and Presentation

Instruction for Submission : The article to be organized as :—1. Title; 2. Author/Authors along with the address clearly mentioning the corresponding Author and Affiliation, E-mail address; 3. Abstract; 4. Key Words; 5. Introduction; 6. Material and Methods; 7. Systematic Accounts; 8. Results and Discussion; 9. Acknowledgements, 10. References; 11. Tables and Figures with appropriate title and legends on separate sheets.

The File size should not exceed 20MB

Format of Manuscript : Submission of a Manuscript implies that the report is original, unpublished and is not being considered/disqualified for Publication elsewhere.

Manuscript in English should be computer-typed, double-spaced with 1.5-inch right-hand margins on one side in A4 size (210 × 297 mm). Font size 10-12 points, Times New Roman. Text should be justified. Footnotes should be avoided. All units of measurement are in metric. All Manuscript sheets must be numbered successively. The maximum length of the paper should not be more than 10 pages. No portion of the Article should be underlined. The Latin names of Genera and Species should be in Italic. Submit on the Online Submission Portal of ATS Website https://zsi.org.in/ in MS Word, photo/map/chart/drawings in jpg (300dpi).

Abstract : An abstract is to be provided in all the Articles.

Key Words : combination of 4-5 words used in the Title and Abstract of the Article to make it searchable and ensure that it may get more Citation.

Introduction section should clearly describe the objectives of the study and provide enough background information to make it clear why the study was undertaken. Lengthy literature review is discouraged. Some earlier references of work may be cited.

Material and Methods should provide the readers with all the necessary information to repeat the work. For modification of published Methodology, only modification needs to be described with reference to the original source.

Under material examined the following format should be followed strictly for e.g. :

Material Examined : Holotype or Paratype : Female : India, Kerala, Calicut University Campus, Altitude ALS, 3-xii-1994, coll. T. C. Narendran and Party (Reg. No. ........)

Results and Discussion to be presented by referring to the tables and figures (if any). Discussion should include a concise statement of the findings, a discussion of the variety of observations, a discussion of the findings in the light of other published works dealing with the same or allied subjects.

Acknowledgements: To thank and acknowledge the persons who helped and assisted in the course of study of the Project and Funding Agency.

References should be cited as follows :

Title of Periodicals should be abbreviated as in the latest edition of World List of Scientific Periodicals, London.

Entries under “Reference” should not include any reference which is not cited in the text.

Tables - Each table should be typed on a separate sheet and must have an explanatory title. All numbers is in Arabic numerals.

Figures - All figures should be appropriately lettered and labeled with letters and numbers in Arabic numerals, the maximum dimension of figures is 131×193 mm. All figures should be submitted in the original, no xerox copy/copies would be entertained.

Photographs - All Photographs to be submitted in the original. For Maps - fresh maps shall be encouraged. The Maps and Photographs taken from other sources (if any), the sources must be mentioned along with the Manuscript and permission to be obtained for production of the same. In case of Digitized/Scanned photo it should be in jpg/photoshop.

Referee comments : Once the Manuscript is received back from the Referee, it will be communicated to the Author with the comments on its suitability and required to be resubmitted along with the revised Manuscript incorporating all the suggestions/comments. Failing which, it will be assumed that the Author is not interested for its Publication and the case will be closed without any further intimation.

Proof Reading : Soft copy (PDF) will be delivered to the corresponding Author and the corrected proof by track method in PDF should be returned through OJMS within 24 hrs. from the receipt of the proofs (PDF).
